We provide Mobile Tax Preparation in Bandera, Hondo, Pipe Creek, Helotes and Northwest San Antonio.

Our business hours this year are Monday Through Saturday 11:00A to 8:00p. We are generally available outside those hours but responses generally happen during regular hours.

Written Information Security Plan

The IRS requires all Tax Preparers to have a Written Information Security Plan. This plan is for Affordable Tax Service (ATS). EFIN 740186.

This plan is to ensure taxpayers personal data is secure.

ATS client data is protected behind

Private Hi Speed internet router (Bandera Electric Fiber network). The network has a unique name and password and is protected using WPS security protocols.
The PC processing processing returns and storing client data is protected by AVAST antivirus and firewall protocols. The Antivirus software is routinely updated from Avast.
The laptop is also protected behind Microsoft windows 10 builtin Firewall.
The laptop is routinely scrubbed utilizing PCmatic to insure all drivers and software is up to date. This package also checks for data integrity issues.
The the laptop and all the drives are routinely backed up on a removable hard drive and secured in the office.
All the client data is secured on a removable encrypted drive (Veracrypt) accessible only when necessary. When not required the encrypted drive is dismounted.

Software updates

The software from Taxwise is updated as soon as the developers push updates
AVAST updates virus definitions frequently and are automatic
PCmatic is run routinely to ensure drivers and software is up to date
Browser (Firefox) and email (Thunderbird) is updated automatically as required

Document transmission

ATS clients are encouraged to utilize the offsite client database provided thru Surefire Tax. This software allows clients to securely upload and download their tax documents. Thru this database e- signatures are utilized to provide secure processing. All documents uploaded and downloaded and e signed are also copied to the clients folder on their encrypted file folder.
All tax documents sent to client emails are password protected with a unique password. Any signed tax documents are submitted securely via fax, SMS, or USPS Priority Mail.
